This programming cable allows you to connect your Motorola DTR 410, DTR550 or DTR650 radio to your PC and program it using the CPS software. This makes setup much easier than using the internal menus. Programming software (CPS) for the DTR series radios can be downloaded for free from www.motorola.com/dtr. Model 0105950U15. PC must be equipped with a 9-pin serial port.

Exactly the piece I needed
I recently received a pair of DTR410 radios - set to Factory defaults, they work nicely. But after researching, I would experience better privacy if I setup their own groups.
Turns out it was harder than I thought, but this cable (along with a USB-Serial interface) was exactly the ticket! Thank you
