  1. Got these at the Goodwill. Too many features not as simple as the ones I used to have review by Georplagian on 3/27/2022

Yep nice little unit it was nice and clean hardly used I got them from the the Goodwill. I just downloaded the manual. Man it has a lot of features I can't figure it out and the screen is too small.. I read that they burn a lot of these 3 AAA batteries..lf they can only make a unit that uses AA batteries it'll last much longer each AAA battery is only 90 milliamps.. while the AA battery is 1000 milliamps. It willlast almost 10 times longer. I'm going to try to understand the instructions before I give a reliability comment everyone be safe out there hope this pandemic leaves us soon and finally safe

They are too small in size. After holding the menu button down I was unable to take it off of scanning.

Bought for low price to be used within the house to keep in contact with sick spouse. Alkaline batteries died within a day. Recommend rechargeable batteries and a recharger. Made several attempts to call home starting at a two mile distance. Did not make contact until within 500 feet. Hwwever it does what I bought it for.

The two way radios are great when traveling in two to three vehicles to keep in touch with your traveling partners and let them know ahead of time when you're exiting off interstate for a break or gas stop.

  10. Good for the $ review by trainsguy5144 on 5/7/2011

Purchased for use with model railroad operations. Radio is fine, range is 1/2 mile. Would like better options for headset. Earbud that was free with product was disappointing ( low audio because of mic location ) Tested with two kids, they had no problems using them and radios survived. Shame headsets cost more than the radios.

  14. For theater use review by Bperry on 12/13/2010
    Rating

I bought 4 radios and was using them to help talk with my back stage crew and the director duering a play in our small comunity theater. The radios worked well as I used head sets on 2 the others with out. My only problem was due to either the pictures or what, I thought I was getting a head set for each radio but found out I only got one head set for 2 radios. When I went back to check it did state in writing that you did get one head set per pair of radios but I was still dissapointed. But to spite the missing headsets it all worked out and the radios worked well.

Our school desperately needed a communication device for emergencies as well as day-to-day operations. This radio is an incredibly good value! It provides clear transmission and receiving, we use all the functions this talented little radio provides. I bought one for every staff member and now we are all connected every minute of every day! What an incredibly wonderful value this product is!
