Description / Motorola TALKABOUT T9500XLR Two Way Radios

The Motorola T9500XLR two way radio is Motorola's most powerful consumer two way radio yet. The T9500XLR has a slightly longer antenna than previous Talkabout models, giving it a potential 25 mile maximum range in optimal conditions (typically 2 miles in urban conditions).

In addition to providing great range as a two way radio the Motorola T9500XLR is also a weather radio, supporting 10 NOAA weather channels. With the iVOX hands free feature the T9500-XLR acts as a speaker phone, allowing you to use your hands for other activities. Hands free (VOX) mode on this model works with or without an optional headset. The T-9500XLR also supports Motorola's VibraCall vibrating alert. With VibraCall, you can lower your radio volume and still ensure that you never miss a transmission.

The Motorola T9500XLR radios support all 22 FRS and GMRS channels with an amazing 121 interference eliminator (privacy) codes per channel. This model also offers a channel scan feature, your choice of 10 call tone alerts, and a backlit display.

This value pack includes two Motorola T9500XLR two way radios, one dual-pocket desktop charger, and NiMH rechargeable batteries for each radio, two black and two yellow face plates.

Who ever thought to have the manual printing so small has done the company a poor service for current and prospective customers - avoid.

Great radio
Review by tlt61
I've used this many times hunting in mountainous areas, and I still get the signal out and receives great. Also have talked with someone 3 hills away, over 3 miles...no flat terrain. Very impressed with this radio. Sorry to see it discontinued. I hope the new one is just as good.
