Best mag mount ever!
25 years talking on 2-way radios for wilderness SAR in the Pacific NW I’ve knocked a lot of antennas off my riggs. This thing sticks like glue. Love it!

Authentic Nagoya RB-MJPL is the best I have found...
Great magnet, not so great connector
I used this with an antenna with no spring and the first tree limb I hit off road it broke off at the mag mount connector. Not usable now so be sure to run a spring mount on your antenna as this magnet doesn't move.
Very good, strong and sized mag mount.
I like the Nagoya RB-MJPL mag mount because it holds my Nagoya NL-770G antenna perfectly well when mounted on top the the car while driving at high speed. No worries about falling off. I also use it as a base mount. I gave it 4 stars because I thought the magnet was as big as the enclosure.

Bought 2, one came missing the red sticker and the felt paper on the bottom was ripped like someone pushed their thumb through. Not likely shipping damage. Not a huge deal but noteworthy. I would think it would be made of a stronger material. Easy to see why it ripped. I'll probably accidentally rip the other one eventually myself. It's fragile. Overall, it's a nice and worked great.

Weak Magnet
The magnet would not hold at interstate speed on top of the roof of my Ford Explorer.
I called buytwowayradios.com who said they would be happy to exchange it or replace it.
I decided to purchased a 1/4’’ - 65lb round disc type magnet from a local retail store, and it’s stuck solidly to the roof of my car. I then attached the magnet on the Nagoya to my new magnet. Problem solved. Not sure how it might affect the ground plane, however.
