The Icom IC-F3001 business two way radio is a rather compact 5 watt 136-174 MHz VHF radio designed for daily use while being very tough and economical. The IC-F3001 is a mil spec, and very rugged 16 channel radio ready for use in a wide variety of business environments. The Icom IC-3001 is ideal for companies that need Mil Spec radios that are also affordable and easy to use.
With 16 channels and CTCSS/DCTS tone filtering you can have interruption free communications. The F3001 has 800mW audio output providing clear, low noise sound output. This is much louder than may radios, making them great for noisy environments. They are also VOX capable, have channels scan, and are PC programmable.
The Icom IC-F3001 comes with a Ni-MH battery pack rated at 14 hours of use. The radio also comes with a belt clip, removable antenna, and charger.

good solid performer
use it on construction sites, love it's compact size and 5 watts of power, chose this model for it;s simplicity, wattage and price. replaced 2 aged motorolas. very pleased with new radios
Great Handheld
Great Radio
Great value for extraordinary product.
Very light weight and a very good price. The range for the VHF model could be a little better but for using the default frequencies its wasnt bad on range. When in range the signal is very clear and it is very light weight. It was definately worth more than what I paid for it but would definately and am going to purchase more. Only thing is that in my area it is hard to find a service center which can add/delete frequencies or add additional programing but that is only because icom is not a major brand in our area.
RADIOS SO SO
RUGGED BUT VERY HEAVY AND TO SHORT A RANGE FOR THE COST ALSO 2 EAR PIECES ALREDY NOT WORKING
It seems to work very well.
Working under noisy conditions. The audio was very clear and easy to understand. Rugged body but lightweight and somewhat compact. A shorter antenna would be nice. But, not a big issue. I was impressed by the delivery. I placed the order on Thurs.. They arrived Monday. Very nice. Personel were friendly. And eager to help.
VFD Radios
These little radios are perfect for a rural Volunteer Fire Department. We have purchased 15 so far and will definitely buy more of these when our needs grow. They were programmed for us and later we bought the softeware to do it ourselves and it is very easy to do. Highly recommended to check them out. The price got our attention and the performance sold us!
Hard Little Worker
My husband is a taxi driver on Saint Thomas. We purchased one for him and five of his co-workers asked for one after seeing how well it worked. The price is great and the shipping was speedy and reasonable.
