The Icom IC-F4021S-41-RC business two way radio is a heavy duty 4 watt 400-470 MHz UHF radio designed for demanding work environments. The IC-F4021S series meets IP54 dust and water resistance and the rugged case is designed for daily use in the toughest workplace. Programmable and with 128 channels and 8 memory banks, you have flexible, dynamic communications in a mil spec radio that is built to be used all day.
The IC-F4021S is loaded with features. With 500mW audio output it provides clear, low noise sound output. The IC-F4021S also has a Lone Worker feature. The radio can be set to send an automatic emergency signal if the emergency button is not pushed after a preset time.
With CTCSS/DCTS tone filtering you can have interruption free communications. In addition the IC-F4021S has 2-Tone, 5-Tone, and MDC signaling capabilities for talk group or selective calling. With the Mode Dependent scan feature the scan setting is dependent on the operating channel. When you change operating channels, the scanning list automatically changes to the operating channel settings. The IC is also upgradable. It has a 40 pin expansion so that you can add an additional board.
The Icom IC-F4021S is able to use Li-Ion or AA alkaline batteries (with optional AA adapter tray), and comes with a large capacity 2000mAh Li-Ion battery pack for an average of 15 hours of operational time. The radio also comes with a belt clip and removable antenna. The IC-F4021 comes with a Rapid Charger for even less down time.

Great Radio
I bought these and programed them with the GMRS frequencies. They have worked well while on vacation at the beach. We had no cell reception and they came in handy between cars when we were trying to locate a place to eat. The handsets are heavy duty. My only complaint is that in my neighborhood I thought they would have more range they only go about 1 mile then start to break up. In defense there are several hills and numerous trees and the houses are brick. Overall a great product and I got the programing software that adds flexibility.
