The Midland LXT-600-VP3 is a compact, general purpose FRS two way radio for camping, hiking, or all around family activities. The LXT600 has a maximum range of up to 30 miles in optimal conditions (typically less than .5 mile in urban conditions).
The Midland LXT600VP3 boasts 36 channels - 22 standard FRS channels plus 14 extra channels and 121 privacy codes.
Standard features of the Midland LXT600 include NOAA weather alerts with weather scan, channel scan, HI/LO power settings, LCD backlit display, silent operation, eVOX, keypad lock, 5 call alerts, auto squelch, monitor, roger beep, keystroke tones, mic and headphone jacks, battery life extender and is drop-in charger capable. It is also water resistant, operates on regular alkaline batteries or rechargeable battery packs and comes with a three year warranty.
The LXT600VP3 radio pack comes with two Midland LXT600VP3 radios, two belt clips, two rechargeable batteries, desktop charger, AC wall adapter and owner's manual.

Get about 2miles in the city...Not bad..
really clear up to a mile...after that and up to a couple of miles starts to get fuzzy...but...thats not bad....Happy with it...
Excellent Radio
I bought these radios for our neighborhood watch communications system and it works very well... It's well worth the money since the radio is very lightweight and sounds very good... A must buy for everyone.

Great emergency radios!
I purchased these radios to be ready for the next hurricane, as we got a direct hit from Florence and a glancing blow from Tropical Storm Michael here in the Carolinas.
The transmission and reception are great. The weather alert and weather scanning is a great help. The only thing, I wish Midland would come out with a belt carrying case, as for the radios themselves, please get a couple of these radios. When the phones and the cell towers go down, as they used to say on "Ghostbusters", "who you gonna call?"

Outstanding purchase
I purchased these radios, 14 in all for my church security team. Combined with FBI type headsets they have performed exceptionally well. They are compact with excellent tone. I highly recommend these radios.

Love these radios. They seem to "talk" to other older style radios. No issues here.
Great for short distance communications
I bought a pair of these radios a while ago, and decided recently to buy a set for my mom. As we are ankle deep in hurricane season (the real show starts in September and October), I thought it would be great for my mom to have a set to keep in contact with the neighbors in case the power and phones go out. These radios fit the bill nicely.
Simple and gets the job done
I got these to help with event logistics at an outdoor site. They're easy to set up, easy to use, do everything I need, and nothing I don't. Love them.
