The Motorola Talkabout MD200TPR two way radio is a great choice for general purpose communications. The MD200 offers a rugged housing in a compact design and big buttons that are easy to press, even when wearing gloves. It fits easily in small hands, making it an excellent for use by kids of all ages!
The MD200 has all the basic features, such as channel scan, talk confirmation tone and ten call tones. Other features include low battery alert, a backlit display, and battery meter. This is a good radio use on the playground, the campground, around the neighborhood, or at the mall. It also makes a great gift for mom!
The Motorola MD200TPR is compatible with all FRS/GMRS radios. It supports 22 channels with up to 20 miles of range in ideal conditions (less than 1 mile in urban conditions).
The MD200TPR operates on either three AAA alkaline batteries or a NiMH rechargeable battery packs (rechargeable battery packs included). This special three pack includes three Motorola MD200 radios,three NiMH rechargeable batteries, three belt clips, AC adapter with two plug Y connector, AC adapter with a single connector, owner's manual and a one year manufacturer warranty.

Basic but very handy.
The design makes it easy to operate. It may be very basic, but very handy and useful for most situations.
Work great for us!
We bought these to use in our high school. They work great inside the school - all around the school - and when we have someone inside and outside. We are very happy with these!
A great value for it utility price
Because of the pricing, I was concerned it was a toy with only limited use and inherently flimsy. Not so/well constructed, easy to use and had great range for its limited size and power.I am impressed. These operate as well as the Bricks I used in the 70s as a Criminal Investigator. times have changed
Good for the price
Does the job it was advertised to do. Still checking with the transmission strength but was able to receive chatter when I was driving through the foothills. My only complaint is that the provided belt clips are a bit flimsy and one broke within 2 days of consistent use.
