Compact, capable and intrinsically safe, the VX-820 is the smallest Vertex Standard radio on the market, yet it is loaded with features lacking in other intrinsically safe radios of its size and class.
The VX 820 Intrinsically Safe Series is available in 5W VHF and UHF models with standard features such as 2-tone and 5-tone codes, multiple scan options, a multi-color LED, radio-to-radio cloning, and ARTS™ - The Auto Range Transpond System from Vertex Standard - and that is just the base model.
The ISVX-821 has 32 channels, one group and 3 programmable keys. The ISVX-824 has 512 channels with 32 groups, an LCD display, and 7 programmable keys. The ISVX-829 has a full DTMF keypad and provides 9 programmable keys. The VX-820 offers three different versions with one standard of operation for excellent radio communications and an extra level of safety built in.
It may be smaller, but it's no weakling. The VX-820 series Intrinsically Safe version is not only safer to use, it's tougher to boot. It meets the IP57 standards for dust and water protection and is submersible in 3 feet of water for up to 30 minutes. This intrinsically safe radio is also SGS certified to meet the requirements of ANSI/UL913 5th Edition for use in Class i, II, II, Division ; Groups C, D, E, F,G; Temp T3C hazardous locations.
The ISVX-821, ISVX-824 and ISVX-829 come with a 3000 mAh lithium-ion battery pack for up to 23 hours of operation (VHF) or 21.5 hours (UHF), antenna, belt clip and three year manufacturer warranty.
