The Baofeng UV-6RA is an economical Dual Band UHF/VHF Amateur Radio with loud sound and intelligent design. With 128 channel capacity and long battery life, the UV-6RA is a great option for ham radio operators who need handheld communications at very low cost.
The UV-6RA operates on 2 Meter Amateur VHF and 70cm Amateur UHF frequencies. It features a dual display, a 65-108Mhz FM radio,CTCSS and DCS codes, repeater capability, Ani code, DTMF code, and 1750 Hz call tone. The UV-6RA also features built-in VOX (Voice Operated Transmit) for hands-free operation and a high illumination flashlight.
The Baofeng UV 6R has up to 5W of power and is powered by a 1800mAh Li-Ion battery pack for hours of operation. High/Low selectable power options and a battery save feature helps conserve power for maximum uptime.
The Baofeng UV-6RA comes with a rechargeable Li-Ion battery pack, belt clip, removable antenna, C-ring earpiece with in-line PTT microphone, drop-in batter charger, AC adapter, wrist strap, owner's manual and a one year warranty.

Important Note
Although the Baofeng UV-6RA has the words "Digital Mobile Radio" printed on the front of the unit, it is not a DMR or digital radio. This is an analog only radio similar in features and operation to the Baofeng UV-5R.Optional Programming Cable
For your convenience, an optional USB programming cable is available to program the Baofeng UV-6RA from a computer.
NOTE: When you purchase this programming cable, we will include the FREE USB cable driver and programming software on CD.

Excellent Radio For Analog & DMR Digital
I Use This Radio For My Personal Amateur Radio Use Great Radio Reports On Receive & Transmit A Must Have Ht. Fast Charging Also & Great Product I Have 2 Already With Back Up Batteries.
This Baofeng UV-6RA works great !
This Baofeng VHF/UHF radio is what I use at the retail store I work at near Seattle in Washington State. I bought four of these two-way radios for some of my coworkers and they also really like the FM radio select button for listening to music while they work! *I am recommending the use of a carry belt holster and NOT the plastic factory radio clip. The belt clip does not hold the radio securely on a belt and will easily slip off and will fall to the ground. Also buy an optional 701 antenna for longer distance.
