Great radio for value and use.
This inexpensive radio is easy to use, easy to program and puts out a very good signal. I used the RT Systems program for the TYT Th- UV88 also sold by this company. Liked it so much I got another for backup. Highly recommended.

Be sure to do firmware update. Polycarbonate body well constructed. Easy programming.
Great product, great value!
Radio works very well, came very quickly, and the support from btwr is exceptional! Just wish the radio could pause/temporarily delete a channel while scanning. If you have a channel that is causing an issue you must correct this by connecting to the computer.

This is a pretty solid bundle with lots of extra goodies that make it easy to get a basic HT and accessories in one stop. Service from BuyTwoWayRadios.com was excellent, and I would absolutely buy from them again in the future.
Best Value Out There
I am extremely pleased with this bundle. The radio actually sounds better than my FT-60 and TH-D74! Even more surprising is that reports said that if I had not have told them, they could not distinguish that I switched when I did my informal tx test between them on the PAPA repeater in SoCal. I am located 17 miles away from PAPA 18 and not quite line of sight. It takes forever to run down the large capacity battery and CHIRP and manufacturer software programming works very well.

Purchased starter kit. Was surprised and impressed with the quality of the radio. There were a few items that were included that were on back order. They gave me a few options but I chose to wait for them to replenish their stock. I was assured that they would ship ASAP. We’ve all heard that before but they lived up to their word and the items arrived about two weeks later. This company is top notch and a pleasure to do business with. I highly recommend them for their quality product and top notch customer service.
TYT-TH-UV88 starter kit
Just got my Technician license and bought this kit as my first radio. It has everything for me to get started in the hobby. The radio is well made and fits the hand well, especially when the 3200mAh battery is installed. Was able to use CHIRP with the included programing cable to add repeaters to memory. Programing from the keypad is easy once you practice a bit. The Nagoya NA-701 antenna really makes a difference in hitting repeaters. Great service from Buy Two Way Radios.
Pleased with my purchase
1st Ham radio, this kit had what I needed, I didn’t really like the ear piece & subsequently purchased the speaker microphone to use instead. This feels like a solid radio, especially with the larger battery. Must use windows to program, also need to “unlock the vfo mode” on the radio before writing to the radio will take. Once that happened it was smooth sailing. I am already looking for a DMR radio. Eyeing the dual band DMR 1700 w/gps-APRS.
