The Cobra microTALK CXR725 two way radio has great features in a very compact size. The CXT725 has a maximum range of 27 miles in ideal conditions (up to one mile in urban conditions). It has 22 GMRS/FRS channels and 142 privacy codes and it comes with a lithium ion battery.

The CXR725 has some great features including VOX hands free operation, VibrAlert® silent paging, backlit display, scan feature, selectable roger beep, 10 call tones, and a key lock.

Cobra states that the CXR725 is the "world’s smallest high-powered GMRS/FRS radio". It does have a very small frame, making it very easy to carry in your pocket. It will also take up very little room in a backpack or in an emergency kit.

The CXR725 comes standard with rechargeable high capacity lithium ion batteries. The CXR725 is one of the few GMRS radios with a Li-ion battery. This gives them a longer talk time than radios that use NiMH batteries so there is less recharging!

The Cobra microTALK CXR725 value pack comes with two CXR725 radios with attached belt clips, a two-port desktop charger, AC adapter, and owner's manual.

I have been informed from Cobra that most of there 2-way radios that have the power save feature will make the ticking noise while using the earbuds. I bought the 875 for hunting. It is not suitable for hunting at all. Cannot sit listening for game with a "tic tac" noise in your one ear. It sounds like you are holding a watch to your ear. I called Cobra and they said that's the way it is. Returned to store for refund.

I am very pleased with this product and the 825. I have purchased 10 of each for work in the last 3 months and the only problem I've experienced is that the squelch on 3 needed a slight adjustment. I sent them back and in a weeks time they were returned working fine.
