The Cobra PR-4000 WX has an amazing 3 full watts of power, pushing its maximum range up to 7 miles! The PR-4000 WX is an extremely advanced model. It is also a weather radio, supporting 10 NOAA channels and NOAA weather alerts.
The PR-4000 WX supports the VibraAlert silent paging system, and VOX hands-free operation. Also built in is a digital compass, a stopwatch, and an alarm clock! The PR-4000 WX also has selectable power levels, allowing you to lower your range for GMRS frequencies! This package includes two Cobra PR-4000 WX two way radios.
The Cobra PR-4000 WX also supports all 22 FRS/GMRS channels and 38 privacy codes. It also supports channel scan and has 10 selectable call alert tones. A signal strength indicator is also featured.
Each Cobra PR-4000 DX two way radio requires 4 AA batteries, which are not included. This package includes two Cobra PR-4000 WX two way radios.

Range not very good. In city less than a mile closer to half miile
Battery life with rechargable or lithium is excellent. Range is not so good. Houston texas suburbs with no huge bldgs and zero hills is roughly half mile. All other features are noce and work. Within 6 months though the lcd stopped working on one of two units.
