The BR200 is ready for use right from the box. It has 2 watts of power and 16 channels with pre-programmed business frequencies used by other popular business radios. It is also PC programmable, so you can customize your radio using any of the 56 business specific frequencies and 142 CTCSS/DCS codes built right in. No training is required to operate it. The BR200 is a ready-to-to go radio that includes everything you need to get your operators on the air!
The Midland BR200 features a monitor function, scan function, voice prompted battery alert and voice channel announce. The lithium-ion rechargeable battery pack provides up to 21 hours of battery power. The desktop charger is a real plus. It can charge the radio plus a spare battery pack at the same time!
The Midland BR200 includes a lithium-ion battery pack, antenna, belt clip, desktop charger, AC adapter, wrist strap, owner's manual and a two year manufacturer warranty.

So far so good
We did test the distance, which didn't go a 1/4 mile. One radio was in a steel building the other was in a vehicle in clear line of site. It does work for our property just fine from steel building to steel building 100 yds apart. I'm waiting to see what a dirty/outdoor environment will do to it.

IHa this radio trip to Hawaii this last May of 2018 from the 32 floor of waikiki hotel to 3 block from the beach with clear contact my kids . I had many leading brands names from ham radio from all for them failed for what I expected to do my jo for me now we had cell phone now a day they don't had one but I cant live without one...
