The Midland LXT-560-VP3 two way radio provides a maximum range of up to 26 miles in optimal conditions (typically less than .5 mile in urban conditions). The LXT-560-VP3 is a compact, all-purpose two way radio, perfect for camping, hiking, or even a trip to an amusement park.
The Midland LXT560 supports a total of 36 channels - 22 standard FRS/GMRS channels and 14 extra channels. It also supports 121 privacy codes.
The Midland LXT560 features channel scan, NOAA weather alerts, call alerts, silent operation, HI/LO power settings, keypad lock and keystroke tones. It is also water resistant. The LXT560 uses regular alkaline batteries or rechargeable battery packs and comes with a three year warranty
The LXT560VP3 radio pack comes with two Midland LXT560VP3 radios, belt clips, desktop charger, AC wall adapter and rechargeable batteries.

Great for handicaped people shopping
My wife and I are seniors; when shopping in a large box store, we can go two separate ways and advise each other when it's time to leave or look at some merchandise. It's a great tool.
Great battery life and great range!!
Bought for my husband for a birthday he loves them. He fishing in the lake behind our home and loves to fill me in on how the fishing is going. This is the first set of two way radios that seem to give us great range and long battery power. Would buy again!!

These walkie-talkies meet our needs. They are reliable, affordable, and compact.
Finally right
After a gazillion unsuccessful tries for a really reliable two-way radio system, this seems to fit my needs. Signal is clear and strong for extended ranges, easy signal alert/call. Chargers work perfectly (so far).
Radios worked great!
Charged up both new radios, switched back and forth using them 4 consecutive days 8 am to 6 pm driving in group of 15 sports cars on back roads adventuring, talking and listening, exchanging pothole warnings, turns coming up, big trucks approaching, etc. At end of 4 days, battery life indicators still showed full charge. Clear for both talking and listening. This was a great purchase.

We use these radios at our church for our safety/security team. Great way to silently communicate with others in the building.
No, I would not buy again
I am not happy with the range. I use them in a school, the office is in another building about 400 feet away. She can not reach me when I am in the basement in my building.
Battery Life Terrible
Our company purchased 8 packs of 2 radios for a total of 16 radios. Charged them up like the instructions said to do. We cannot get more than about 4 hours use out of them before they go dead. We are thinking about returning them.
