Excellent Radio
Excellent radio handset given the cost of the product. You can replace these handsets several times a year before you equal the costs of more expensive radios. Very useful in environments where your equipment may come up missing. These Motorola Radios have the best features and most versitle controls of all the brands we tested for use. We really liked the volume control knob versus a volume control button. Highly recommended.
Disappointed
I use these for short distance communication, usually no more than 150-200 feet, in a busy atmosphere. My transmissions are intermittent consistently and I need good consistent communication on a reasonable budget. I thought buying the longer range radios might achieve this but some of my coworkers have radios that cost them less than thirty dollars a pair and they work just as well. I am somewhat disappointed with this product and I am not sure I could recommend these to coworkers or the industry.
Exactly What I Wanted
Use with my buddies while hunting...excellent radios for the price...very rugged. Like the privacy channel feature. I have the Maroon colored radio set; wish I had the choice of yellow because yellow is easier to see on the ground when dropped on leaves.
