Vertex two way radios are powerful and built for durability. The Vertex VX-231-AG7B 450-485 MHz UHF radio offers up to 5 watts of transmit power and support for 16 channels. Channel scan and monitor functions are also supported.
These professional radios are designed and tested to meet the U.S. military standards MIL-STD 810 C, D, E, F, for shock, vibration, rain and dust, ensuring it will perform in rigorous work environments.
Vertex-230 series radios are great all-purpose radios. They are relatively compact and easy to use. They come with an emergency notification system (lone worker mode), four scanning options, CTCSS / DCS, two programmable buttons, and easy cloning.
The Vertex VX-231-AG7B radio features ARTS™ (Auto Range Transpond System) to alert when you and another ARTS-equipped station are in range. When ARTS is in use, your radio will transmit for one second every 55 seconds in an attempt to handshake with the other station. If no signal is received or your radio is out of range of the other station for more than two minutes, it will emit a beeper alert. Once you are within range again and the radio receives a transmission from the other station, your radio will emit a beep.
The Vertex VX-231-AG7B comes standard with an FNB-V131LI Li-ion battery, VAC-UNI-B Rapid Charger, and ATU-6D 450-485 MHz Antenna.

A GOOD TWO WAY RADIO FOR A BIG HOTEL
I work at a 203 room hotel the radios work very well here and two way radio had the best price on them. They where very helpful when picking them out
This product has met our expectations
We use them at our pallet shop to communicate between office and forklift operators. Reception and audio is very good!
Vertex VX-231 UHF Radio
This radio is light weight and compact while offering a powerful 5 watt output power. Audio is crystal clear and there's very little signal delay. BuyTwoWayRadios helped me set up the radio for my personal use. If you're thinking about buying this radio, do it because you won't regret it.

We use them to communicat on fire alarm testing and they have been working great in all our high and low rise bldgs.

A little off in description
Great for safety. All the teams can know what is going on and where. Keeps everyone informed. At home I testeed the range to .8 miles from my house. On the jobsite no where near as good. Description say 30 floors I say no way not with out a repeater. Purchased the UHF after research but was disappointed in the lack of range on construction site. Worried about battery life but it has not been a problem at all even with 10-12 hour days with average use. Some days traffic is heavier than others.

Radios that work!
I have used many different two ways in the past for communication at my after school program. Communication through radios is essential at my business and all the other radios that I used could never do the job. I am so pleased with these radios. The sound is clear and without static and I am able to communicate to different classrooms in a large school and modular classroom. My teachers can also keep their radio on their hip and I can still hear them clearly when they send a message. These radios were worth every penny!
