The Motorola RMU2080d two way radio is the next generation of the popular RDU2080d. It features 8 channels and 2 watts of power, providing coverage for up to 250,000 square feet or 20 floors. It operates in 12.5 kHz Narrowband on 99 selectable UHF frequencies with 219 PL/DPL codes, including 6 customizable codes.
The RMU2080d is also a NOAA Weather Radio with alerts, a feature not found on previous Motorola RDX series radios. The addition of this feature takes Motorola business radios to another level.
The RMU2080d also includes a front panel display that makes it easier to adjust settings and check the radio's status. Four programmable buttons can be set to the features that you use most! The Motorola RMU 2080d radio also offers Channel Announcement with Voice Alias, channel scan, hands-free VOX mode (with or without optional accessories), 3 voice scramble codes, and more. Cloning this radio is fast and easy with an optional single-unit charger cloning cable or multi-unit charger (sold separately).
Includes one Motorola RM Series RMU2080d two way radio, 2100 mAh 3.7V Lithium Ion rechargeable battery, swivel belt holster with 3.5" spring clip, drop-in charger, quick reference leaflet, RF safety booklet and a one year manufacturer warranty.

Poor Audio
We were using the RDU2080D radios and switched over to the RMU2080D, after the RDU model was discontinued. The RMU2080D sounds terrible against the RDU2080D. The radio feels cheap and not up to Motorola standards.

I ordered the rmu2080d and was surprised how fast it arrived. I'm very pleased with the quality of the radio and it works great with the cls radios we use at my job. Right from the box this radio works.. The weather channel is a great feature on this radio. The customer service was great and very helpful. Thanks @ buytwowayradios
Channels unstable and channel button pops off
I use this in an industrial facility. 6 months after buying these as a replacement for the old RDU's we started having the same issue creep up in all of them. The channels would not stay stable and would constantly announce the channel they were on or next to, as if the channel selector would not seat or align properly.
