Simple but very good
These radio's work! We also use them inside steel buildings that contain heavy metal fab equipment (like welders) and we have no problems with the reception. We use a mix of the 2W and 4W models, and the 4W do have a better range. Both are good quality radios with good lasting batteries.
Not Bad
So far so good. I have these to communicate between groups for paintball. So far reception and use are great. I'm not sure about weather but time will tell.
Very good radios
These are great radios for the price and serve our need incredibly well.
Great radios for basic voice communications
Our CERT teams bought 8 these radios for emergency response to add to the 14 we already own. They're easy to program with Motorola's free CPS software. The cable & charging station assembly from Buy Two Way Radios is needed to link the radios to a PC. Having ultrahigh capacity Lithium batteries is a real plus.
Great radio for a very good price
We use these radios for our security team at church and the work great. We cover a 63,000 sq. ft. building with these in the midst of a lot of audio/visual gear. Would highly recommend these radios.
