At the core of the package is the KG-935G GMRS Two Way Radio. Designed for the serious GMRS operator, this portable handheld powerhouse has 15 high powered GMRS simplex channels, 8 low powered simplex channels and all 8 GMRS repeater channels at up to 5.5 watts of power. It boasts 999 programmable memory channels with QT/DQT encoding and decoding, DTMF encode/decode and 25KHz/12.5KHz wide/narrow bandwidth selection. And that's only the beginning.
The KG-935G also has a large, full color dual channel display with four display color themes. It also features a full DTMF keypad, TX and RX LED indicators, two programmable side keys and a built-in flashlight. The keypad is also backlit for easier operation in the dark.
Of course, this isn't just the radio. It's the Wouxun KG-935G Anniversary Edition! Yes. This radio is fully compatible with all 22 channel FRS, GMRS, or FRS/GMRS combo radios.

While this radio is easy to use and is compatible with other FRS and GMRS radios, it was designed with power users in mind. It is
more durable, is higher wattage, is equipped with a more powerful battery and has better audio quality than typical consumer radios. It is also IP66 dust and waterproof. Basically, it is built like a business radio.
It also has advanced features that would usually appeal more to "power users," such as repeater support
and the ability to use PC programming software to customize the channels list.
Yes, if you use the programming software (available from the Downloads tab). The KG-935G supports up to 999 custom channels, and with the software you can add new channels or even remove standard ones. The CTCSS/DCS tones can be customized for each channel and can be different for transmit and receive.
Extra channels are useful for many reasons. If you access different repeaters that use the same frequency but different tones, it's more convenient to add each combination to its own channel instead of changing tones through the menu. Channels can also be given friendly names instead of a simple number, and the default channel names can be customized.

The KG-935G is designed for maximum cross-compatibility with other Wouxun branded GMRS radios. It uses the same battery and charger as the KG-905G, and there are multiple antenna options available. It also uses the same 2-pin Kenwood style (K1) audio connector found on many other radios, so headsets, speaker mics and other audio accessories are no problem at all. If you already have the KG-905G and want to add the KG-935G to your GMRS operations, you're all set for accessories.
Yes. Even though this radio is fully compatible with license free FRS radios, it has several features that make it fall under
the GMRS service and not FRS. Some of these features are: 5 watts of power (FRS limit is 2), removable antenna (FRS must be fixed),
and repeater support (FRS doesn't support repeaters). Check out our GMRS licensing FAQ page for more info.

Great radio and more!
We all know they are great radios but this one comes with all the goodies we end up buying or wanting anyway. Great deal would buy again for sure.
The Anniversary Edition Kit Feels More Like Christmas
Need a backup battery? It's in the kit. What to power your radio via cigarette lighter? It's in the kit. Want to program your radio via software and programming cable to save time and customize options? It's in the kit. Want better weather protection in a carrying case? It's in the kit. Bottom line if you're getting a KG-935G get the kit. You'll be glad you did. I am.

Great little radio!
This little handheld is feature rich and the anniversary kit is a great value comes with everything you need! Programming software could be better but it works. All in all for a 5watt handheld radio you can’t beat it!
I like it
The radio is nice, good power. Low power is good 1/2 watt . Medium power I am not super happy with, 4.5 watts. I would have preferred 2 watts. Hight power is 5.5 . watts. Sound quality is good.
Good and bad
I'll keep this short and sweet. The radio is excellent. Some of the accessories are far from that. The radio is probably the best I have. However, I used the battery eliminator and had to pry it back off. The case is nice once I added a bit of filling at the bottom so the mic hole lined up with the mic. I've tried everything to get the programming cable to work luckily I have others that work great. The external speaker mic is top of the line. I would definitely recommend the radio. However, I can't recommend some of the accessories that are in this kit.
I’m still ok
I like the radio. The sound quality it good. My beef with this radio is the power settings. I like the low power 1/2 watt I would have like the medium power setting to be 2 watts not 4.5 watts and high power setting is 5.5 watts not 5 watts. Other that this I like the radio s as nd all the accessories are top notch.

Great Radio !
The radio itself has a nice heft to it and is solidly built. It is laden with features. The kit makes for great versatility and a great value! The only con noted was the driver for the programming cable. It did not work initially, but after some research, I DID find the solution right on the BTWR site. After the installation of proper driver it worked fine. As for the 935 programming software, I wish the "Channel Name" column was closer to the Freq column like it is in CHIRP. The 4 star rating is because of the cable issue-- not the radio itself
