There are a lot of our friends and customers that really like Icom radios. Who can argue with them, they are reliable, tough, and priced right (I mean the radios, not our friends). Once you use a set for a while you learn just how reliable and easy to use they are. Most businesses do not need a radio with a lot of features. They just want something that will work every day, have a good battery life, and be easy to use. The F1000/F2000 and Icom F1000/F2000 S/T meet this need perfectly!
We have some friends and customers out there though that need radios with all of the features. The Icom F52D / F62D and the Icom F52DUL / F62DUL are very tough radios designed for large work sites, warehouses, and businesses. They have 512 channels, are repeater capable, and have a large capacity Li-Ion battery pack, while still being relatively compact in size.
The Icom F52D / F62D are available in UHF (F62D) and VHF (F52D) models with 5 watts of power. Dust and water proof, this model series is designed for rough working environments. They have a loud audio output, privacy codes, and safety alert features. With 512 channels and 128 zones, you are able to use a wide variety of channels for even the largest communications system. Both models work in Analog/Digital Conventional Mixed Mode Operation.
The Icom F52DUL / F62DUL are also available in VHF and UHF versions and have 5 watts of power. It is also IP67 dust and water proof, has a loud audio output, and safety features. It is essentially the same series as the F52D/F62D series, with one important difference. The Icom F52DUL/F62DUL is intrinsically safe!
