How to download the driver for Wouxun Two Way Radio Programming Cables

If you are running Windows 11 with the latest updates, it is possible the driver for the Wouxun programming cables will install automatically, as Windows may include a Silicon Labs USB driver in its driver list. Otherwise, follow the instructions in the video above.

Many of us are beginners, and I have a problem with Wouxun not supplying software or cable (s).

  As stated in the article Why Wouxun GMRS radios do not include programming cables and software, this is precisely why the cable and software are not included. Many of the GMRS, CB and MURS radios are specifically designed for use by beginners without the need for any programming. As a general rule, beginners should be able to use the radios as is, and move up to the programming cable and software as they become more advanced. As a two way radio dealer, we have found through years of experience that many of the support issues we resolve arise because beginners attempt to program and modify the radios that way without first understanding the basics. The fact that the programming software and cable are add-ons allows the beginners to start off with the full functionality of the radio and move up to the more advanced programming as needed. This eliminates a lot of frustration for both the beginner and the support technician and was also explained in the article.
  
  When it comes to the Wouxun business radios, it is generally recommended to have those programmed by the dealer. Since we offer free programming on those models, no programming software or cable is usually needed by the end user.
  
  As for the Amateur radios, that's a little different. The programming software is already a free download from the product page on our web site. The assumption is that someone who is a seasoned, licensed ham will likely already have a cable and will know how to program the radios from experience. New hams generally rely on a more seasoned ham or an elmer to show how it's done.
