Default Frequencies for Kenwood ProTalk Business Radios

The Kenwood business radios available at Buy Two Way Radios are already pre-programmed with itinerant business frequencies by default. While they can be also be re-programmed to your custom frequencies, many customers opt to use the common itinerant frequencies already programmed into them. An FCC license is still required to use these frequencies, however it is faster and less expensive to purchase a Business Itinerant Frequency License than to obtain an exclusive Single Business Frequency License for your company or operation.

Here is a list of Kenwood business radios with their channel numbers and the default itinerant frequencies assigned to them out of the box.

I have 3 TK-3230-K 4 Chanell radios and 2 TK-3230-K 6 Chanell radios, the 2 6 chanell radios will go into programming mode no problem but the 3 4 chanell ones do not, when I put all radios on chanell 4 and push the talk button the green light lights up but no voice comes over the other radios, the 2 6 chanell radios communicate to each other and the 3 4 chanell radios talk to eachother but can't get the 4 chanell radios to talk to the 6 chanell radios, the green light comes on all of them both ways but no audio comes thru, and I can not find any paper work or book on the 4 chanell radios so not sure if I can get into programming to change anything or even see what the settings are

Is there are way to program the Kenwood ProTalk LT PKT-23 with our existing iCom radios. We currently have the IC-F4001.

The Kenwood ProTalk PKT-23 is pre-programmed with 99 business frequencies from which to choose. These frequencies are listed in the manual for the radio. If one of those frequencies matches the one you use for your Icom IC-4001, you would assign that frequency to a channel and the radios should talk with one another.

Hello good people! I have a Kenwood TK-2402V16P issued by our company Im trying to program. I can read and write to the radio but it doesn't change the frequencies at all and is stuck on 148.200 Mhz on all 16 channels. I can see it was on this frequency because i have a Radioshack scanner which I can receive and hear my voice when I transmit. Another same radio that i programmed and the same thing, stuck to 148.200 Mhz and the 2 radios cannot even receive or talk to each other. What am I doing wrong? I appreciate your help. Thanks very much and have a wonderful day!

I have an issue with when we key up a radio(kenwood TK-3402) in front of a 40inch Monitor it makes the monitor screen go off and when you let off the radio the screen comes back. i am sure it probably is a frequency issue. Monitor frequencies are 50,59, or 60hz. Do you have any ideas to fix this issue.

We are an authorized Kenwood dealer in the US and only carry genuine Kenwood products available for North America. You may need to consult the manual for your radio. There are numerous radios sold globally under the Kenwood brand but are not actually produced or endorsed by the manufacturer. If the radio is not listed on the Kenwood site in your country or region, it may be counterfeit.

How do you field program the 2207? This is difficult and also why doesn't the ksc31 base charge radio?

    Reply
    • Rick

We are authorized Kenwood dealers in the US, however we do not carry this model and are not familiar with it. Checking Kenwood's site, the TK-2207 seems to be marketed in China. There are reports of counterfeit TK-2207 radios available for sale on the Internet. We advise caution in purchasing products from sellers who are not specifically authorized by the manufacturer. As for the Kenwood KSC-31 rapid charger, it is a discontinued item and is recommended for use only with the genuine Kenwood radios and batteries for which it was originally designed.

Can a kenwwod 3302 and a motorola xpr7350 communicate. I own Both radios and just looking to use them on hunting trips. Is this possible?

      Reply
      • rick

That depends. If the XPR7350 is the UHF model, it is possible, since both radios would technically operate within the same range of frequencies. However, both radios would need to be programmed to operate on the same frequency. You would need to obtain the programming cable and software for each specific make and model, or have an authorized dealer do it for you. The latter option also depends on what frequency you are licensed to use, as these are business radios, and are authorized for use on business frequencies.

Hi, there are no frequencies pre-programmed into the channels of the Kenwood TK-3000 by the factory out of the box. The radio needs to be programmed to the frequency or frequencies assigned or allocated to your company or organization before use.

Hi Dzissah, as an authorized Kenwood dealer, we are based in the US and only carry genuine Kenwood radios intended for use in North America. As such, we do not have any information on the TK-U100 or TM-471. As a side note, a base station can only communicate with the handsets if it supports the same band and frequencies and is programmed to use them.
